The locations of 2 new stores in Plattsmouth are easy enough. One is the former Pet Respect location on Highway 75 and the other is located at the intersection of 5th and Main Street.
It's the stores themselves that remain a mystery.
Several bays of the retail space on Highway 75 are being occupied by a vendor that will include, according the window artwork, clothing and furniture. The store owner is someone we are familiar with in Plattsmouth, and he has stated that the name and nature of the store will be revealed toward the end of this week.
At 5th and Main, the corner store front that has been through some renovations recently, now shows a line of clothing in the windows and appears to be near opening, although the contact person is so far unknown. I have inquired with the store during the renovations and there was no indication that a clothing shop would be filling the space.
Stay tuned, and I will update this website when the mysteries are revealed!

These began with Ms. Baburek expressing concerns about the street signage that restricts parking in front of her property on 3rd Street, and a request for a new location for the signs. Next, Dr. Julie Howard spoke toward the unresolved issue of the concealed carry ban in the city limits, asking the council to state their progress on the committee that will examine alternatives for the ordinance. |
